CROUCH END PERSPECTIVES
Crouch End Perspectives is a photography collection that reflects the artist’s view of this special area of London.
Fascinated by its style of life, Marivi explored the streets of this neighbourhood with her camera, often described as a little urban village.
Through her lens she has captured the charm of the area sometimes evolved through conversations with local people, a mix of young professionals and bohemian sorts, that define the area's character.
In an engaging way, the photographer encapsulates what makes Crouch End such a perfect place to live in.
“Here I try to reflect my personal interaction with people and community. It is a kind of self-healing process of accepting my surrender and getting in love with it”, says Ashby of her photography work.
Marivi Ashby is a Colombian photojournalist and widely travelled throughout her career.
She has lived and worked in Latin America, Europe, West Africa and the Middle East and whilst living abroad and is committed to exploring the variety of cultures and traditions where she resides, in contrast to her own home.
Marivi has exhibited her photography work in Bogotá, Colombia and in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
